Apple claims its second generation iPhone SE with a 4.7in display and a single rear camera is the “most affordable iPhone” though even the 64GB model costs RM1,999.
The 128GB and 256GB versions go for RM2,199 and RM2,699, respectively.
They only feature a single 12-megapixel wide-angle rear camera with 5x digital zoom and Portrait Lighting, with effects like Natural and Stage Mono
On the front there is a 7-megapixel selfie camera with Portrait Mode.
All the models run on the A13 processor, the same chip introduced in iPhone 11, priced at RM3,399 when launched last year.
Apple claims the chip offers better performance for gaming and augmented reality (AR).
According to a press release, Apple will offer customers “free no-contact home delivery” for devices bought from its official store.
Though the devices are already listed on the store, it’s not possible to make a purchase yet.
The iPhone SE features a physical home button with built-in fingerprint sensor and a battery life that Apple claims “lasts about the same as iPhone 8” or up to 13 hours of video playback.
It also supports the Qi wireless charging standard.
The phones are expected to be available in three colours – White, Black and Product Red. – The Star
