KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s participation in Covax, the global initiative supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure fair and equitable access to Covid-19 vaccines worldwide, will be raised in the Dewan Rakyat today.

According to the Order Paper, Lim Guan Eng (PH-Bagan) will ask the science technology and innovation minister during Ministers’ Question Time the cost of participation and Malaysia’s role in the initiative.
During the oral question-and-answer session, Natrah Ismail (PH-Sekijang) will ask the communications and multimedia minister the outcome of the 5G demonstration project that had been carried out, and the ministry’s readiness in expanding 5G network nationwide.

The debate on the Supply Bill 2021 covering next year’s budget, which enters its eighth day, continues.
The house will sit for four hours from 10am, with only 80 MPs – 41 from the government and 39 from the opposition and independents – allowed at any one time to help curb the spread of Covid-19.
