KOTA KINABALU: Several locations around Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran have been hit by flash floods following heavy rain since last night.
Among the affected areas are Taman Telipok Jaya, Taman Telipok Ria, Kampung Lokub, Kampung Lorong Pulau, Manggatal and Kampung Kaulan in Kota Kinabalu, and Kampung Rugading in Tuaran.
The flash floods led to some vehicles getting submerged in the waters while ground units of some shop lots were also flooded.
At the time of writing, rain was still pouring and showed no signs of stopping.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department said traffic was at a standstill at many locations in Kota Kinabalu. -FMT
