KUALA LUMPUR: The third phase of the Rahmah Cash Aid (STR) for B40 recipients will be disbursed before the Hari Raya Haji celebration, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Prime Minister said the payment involved an allocation of more than RM2bil benefiting eight million recipients nationwide.
“In addition, (the payment of) e-Tunai Belia Rahmah of RM200 to youths aged 18 to 21 years old will be channelled before the third week of this month,” he said during the Prime Minister’s Question Time at the Dewan Rakyat sitting on Tuesday (June 13).
He said this in his reply to a question from Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad (BN-Parit Sulong) who wanted to know the reforms made by the government in terms of approach and governance of laws or regulations to curb the leakage of public money as well as whether the government will continue reporting expenses and monitoring the national budget. – Bernama
