SUNGAI BESAR: A 56-year-old teacher was found dead in the driver’s seat of a multipurpose vehicle at a teachers’ quarters, here, yesterday.
The body was discovered by the man’s wife, who found him sitting unconscious in the vehicle when she returned home at about 4.30pm.
Sabak Bernam district police chief Superintendent Agus Salim Mohd Alias said the victim’s wife then informed her friend over the discovery.
“A medical team from the Bagan Terap health clinic later examined the body and confirmed that the victim had died.
“The medical officer then contacted the police to inform about his death at 5.30pm. No injuries were found on the body,” he said when contacted today.
Agus Salim said the victim’s wife has told the police that her husband had hypertension and was receiving treatment at the Sungai Besar health clinic on regular basis.
He added the body was taken to the Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Hospital, Sabak Bernam for a post-mortem.
“Cause of death is still under investigation,” he said.-NST
