PETALING JAYA: Water supply has been restored to 888 (69%) of the 1,279 areas in the Klang Valley affected by the latest water disruption, according to Air Selangor.

In a statement, Air Selangor said another 391 areas were still affected and in the process of having supply restored.

It said supply had almost been completely restored in Kuala Selangor with taps flowing again in 99% of the area.

This is followed by Hulu Selangor (87%), Kuala Langat (80%), Kuala Lumpur (75%), Petaling (60%), Gombak (55%) and Klang and Shah Alam (51%).

“Users are advised to let their taps run until the water is clear before they start to use it,” Air Selangor said.

The latest water disruption was caused by the pollution of Sungai Selangor which led to dry taps for over 1.13 million households in the Klang Valley since yesterday evening. – FMT
