Covid-19: Nearly 94% of adult population has received at least one vaccine dose

PETALING JAYA: A total of 21,968,698 people (or 83.8% of Malaysia’s total population) has received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine as of Monday (Sept 27), says Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

It also said, in a series of tweets on Tuesday (Sept 28), that 84.4%, or 19,753,742 people, had completed their vaccinations so far.

JKJAV also said that a total of 323,335 Covid-19 vaccinations were administered on Monday.

Of this total, 172,388 people received the first dose of a two-dose vaccine, while 150,947 individuals had completed their doses of the vaccines.

Selangor led the way in first doses with 23,089 getting their jabs on Monday, followed by Johor (20,955), Kedah (16,363) and Kelantan (15,504).

The state with the most second doses administered was Johor with 27,736, followed by Kedah (21,106), Perak (18,880) and Pahang (15,464). -The Star
