KUALA LUMPUR (July 14): The ringgit weakened past 4.2000 against the US dollar in morning trade today as the US dollar strengthened and as investors weighed Malaysia’s political and Covid-19 situation while taking cue of the country’s vaccination progress to curb the spread of the pandemic.

At 8:41am today, the ringgit was traded at 4.2013 against the US dollar compared to yesterday’s closing exchange rate of 4.1920.
