KUALA LUMPUR 19 March 2026 (The Capital Post)- Malaysia’s exports rose 10.8% year-on-year to RM130.95 billion in February 2026, reflecting strong demand across key sectors, according to official trade data.

The increase was driven by higher shipments of electronics, palm oil, and petroleum products, which continue to be major contributors to the country’s export performance.

Analysts said the growth demonstrates Malaysia’s resilience amid global economic uncertainty and highlights the strength of its manufacturing and commodity sectors.

Imports also recorded a moderate increase, resulting in a healthy trade surplus for the month.

The government noted that continued focus on export-oriented industries, investment in technology, and strategic trade partnerships will be key to sustaining momentum in Malaysia’s external trade.-The Capital Post
