SPM 2025 Records Best Performance Yet With Improved National Grade Average

PUTRAJAYA 31 March 2026 (The Capital Post) – The 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results recorded their best performance to date, with the National Grade Average (GPN) showing a notable improvement compared to the previous year.

The Education Ministry said the stronger results reflect ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of the national education system, as well as the dedication of students and teachers in achieving better academic outcomes.

Data indicated an increase in the number of candidates attaining excellent results, with more students scoring higher grades across key subjects.

The performance gap between urban and rural candidates also continued to narrow, highlighting progress in ensuring more equitable access to quality education nationwide.

The ministry added that various initiatives will be sustained to maintain this positive momentum, including improvements in teaching methods and continued support for students.
