JOHOR, 18 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Malaysia’s Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). continues to strengthen ties between the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) and the public through the implementation of the 2026 MADANI Jiwa Murni Programme (PJM).
The launch ceremony for the programme was officiated by Defence Minister Khaled Nordin at Dewan Semai Bakti, FELDA Maokil 1.
During the event, a total allocation of RM6 million was handed over for the implementation of 57 MADANI Jiwa Murni projects under the Ministry of Defence, which will be carried out across eight states nationwide.
The programme serves as part of the ministry’s ongoing commitment to strengthening community wellbeing through various initiatives that directly benefit the people while fostering closer relations between the armed forces and local communities.
As part of the programme’s welfare initiatives, laptops were also distributed to children of ATM veterans, alongside zakat assistance for widows of ATM veterans and food aid contributions for asnaf residents of FELDA Maokil 1.

The initiative reflects the spirit of togetherness and MADANI values in empowering the wellbeing of communities, particularly those in need.
Also present at the event were Deputy Chief of Army Mohamad Suria Mohamad Saad representing the Chief of Army, Commander of the 3rd Infantry Division Haji Sani Omar, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and the Malaysian Armed Forces.
