Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the increased allocation will support the construction of additional classrooms and address various infrastructure needs in schools nationwide.

He made the remarks while officiating the Meet-and-Greet Session and the presentation of Letters of Acceptance (SST) to Bumiputera small-scale contractors involved in implementing MOE projects across the country.

According to him, the move is important to accommodate the increasing enrolment of Year One students, address overcrowded schools and ensure a more comfortable environment for students, teachers and school communities.
