KUALA LUMPUR, 20 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Malaysia’s Ministry of Works (KKR) today held its Monthly Assembly for May 2026 in a spirited atmosphere reflecting the aspirations of “Pekerja MADANI Kesuma Bangsa”.
The assembly, jointly organised by KKR’s Corporate Planning Division, Legal Advisor’s Office and Management Services Division, was officiated by Deputy Works Minister Ahmad Maslan.
Among those present were KKR Deputy Secretary-General (Management) Dato’ Zainal Alhakab Seman, Deputy Director-General of Public Works Department (Infrastructure Sector) Ir. Mohd Shahrom Ahmad Saman, Deputy Director-General of Public Works Department (Building Sector) Dato’ Ar. IDr. Azman Md. Hashim, Senior Director of Management at the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) Junaidah Jamni and CIDB Senior General Manager Sr Ahmad Farrin Mokhtar.
The programme began with a welcoming address by Chief Legal Advisor Norelazlim Saidil, followed by a keynote speech from Ahmad Maslan.
In his address, the deputy minister emphasised the importance of cultivating a high-performance work culture, strengthening teamwork and maintaining the commitment of KKR personnel in driving the nation’s infrastructure development agenda for the well-being of the rakyat.

The event also featured various activities including a motivational talk titled “Adventures in Attitudes” by Dr. A. Sher Kawi Jaafar, a Workers’ Day-themed Kahoot competition, a Hall of Fame session, presentation of appreciation certificates for the 2026 KKR Jom Baca Bersama programme and exhibition booth visits showcasing initiatives and services by departments and agencies under the ministry.
According to the ministry, the programme not only served as a platform for leadership messages but also strengthened unity and a culture of excellence among KKR staff in line with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI.
