KDN Strengthens Border Security Through Ops Tiris Enforcement Efforts

PUTRAJAYA, 20 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Malaysia’s Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) continues to strengthen efforts in combating leakages and smuggling activities through the integrated implementation of Ops Tiris alongside various enforcement agencies.

According to the ministry, the operation has so far recorded cumulative seizures worth RM39.18 million involving 206 arrests.

As part of preparations for the National Economic Action Council (MTEN) meeting, Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail also chaired a pre-council meeting with the KDN team to refine government input and coordination measures in addressing challenges arising from the Global Supply Crisis.
