KKDW Strengthens Integrity Culture Through Integrity Roadshow Programme

SELANGOR, 20 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — The Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), through its Integrity Unit, collaborated with the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (Maritim Malaysia) and Selangor Maritime to organise the Jelajah Integriti@KKDW Series 2 Programme for 2026 Central Zone at the Selangor State Maritime Headquarters.

The programme brought together 60 participants from KKDW and Maritim Malaysia as part of efforts to cultivate integrity values among KKDW personnel while strengthening strategic cooperation with the Integrity Unit of Maritim Malaysia.

Various activities were held throughout the programme, including briefings on the roles and responsibilities of Maritim Malaysia, knowledge-sharing sessions on integrity, group exercises and engagement sessions with Selangor Maritime personnel.

Participants were also given the opportunity to better understand the work culture, discipline and firm enforcement approach practised by Maritim Malaysia in safeguarding the nation’s waters.

In his speech, Head of KKDW Integrity Unit PKPj Mohd Nadzri Ibrahim stressed that the ministry upholds a zero-compromise integrity culture based on the “No Grey Area” principle.

According to him, excuses such as “common practice” or “just once in a while” cannot be used to justify misconduct, abuse of power or governance violations.

The ministry expressed hope that programmes such as this would continue to strengthen integrity, discipline and professionalism among KKDW personnel in line with the aspiration of creating a prosperous rural community.
