SEOUL, 21 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Secretary-General of the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP), Dato’ Sri Khairul Dzaimee Daud, is currently leading the Malaysian delegation to the 61st APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Working Group (SMEWG) Meeting held in Seoul, South Korea from 21 to 22 May 2026.
The meeting focuses on key areas including digital transformation, startup initiatives, business scaling, global market access and green transition efforts for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
During the session, Khairul Dzaimee presented Malaysia’s “Hebatkan Perniagaan Malaysia” initiative as one of the country’s strategies to empower local MSMEs and strengthen their presence at the international level.
His presence in Seoul, alongside other members of the Malaysian delegation, was also utilised to hold bilateral meetings and discussions with representatives from other APEC economies in efforts to further strengthen Malaysia’s cooperation in entrepreneurship development.

Also joining the delegation were KUSKOP Policy and International Relations Division Secretary Mahil Ahmad and representatives from CEDAR SME Bank.
