KEMAS Honours Educators at 2026 Celebration

PUTRAJAYA, 10 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – More than five decades of contributions to early childhood education were celebrated as the Community Development Department (KEMAS) marked its 2026 Educators’ Day celebration in Putrajaya.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi officiated the event, which recognised the dedication and achievements of KEMAS educators in shaping generations of knowledgeable, ethical and competitive Malaysians.

According to a Facebook post by Kementerian Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah, Ahmad Zahid called on educators to continuously enhance their competencies, strengthen professional skills and adapt to the evolving educational landscape.

He also encouraged teachers to introduce new ideas and innovative approaches in early childhood education while fostering a culture of creativity and renewal to ensure KEMAS remains a leading institution in the sector.

The celebration also featured the presentation of the comic book “Harga Sebuah Kejujuran” by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM), alongside the presentation of the 2026 KEMAS Educators’ Day Main Awards and the Lifetime Educator Award.

Carrying the theme “55 Tahun Mencerdaskan Anak Bangsa”, the event served as a tribute to generations of KEMAS educators whose commitment has played a vital role in nurturing young minds and supporting the nation’s educational development since the organisation’s establishment.
