Kuala Lumpur, 23 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communications, Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, received a courtesy visit from the Director-General of the Department of Information Malaysia (Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia, JAPEN), Erwin Khairul Ahmad at Menara Komunikasi.
According to information from the Facebook Kementerian Komunikasi, the visit marked the first official meeting following Erwin Khairul Ahmad’s appointment as the new Director-General of JAPEN. Datuk Abdul Halim also extended his congratulations and expressed hope that JAPEN will continue to play a key role as the government’s main information dissemination agency.
The discussion also focused on the department’s strategic direction moving forward, particularly efforts to strengthen the effectiveness of information delivery and the implementation of JAPEN programmes nationwide.
