Nanta Meets Crane Industry Group to Enhance Construction Safety

KUALA LUMPUR, 1 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi received a courtesy visit from the Malaysian Crane Planning and Supervisory Association (PPMKM) to discuss issues and challenges related to crane lifting operations in the construction industry.

The discussion focused on efforts to strengthen safety standards and professional practices in line with the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia’s (CIDB) aspiration to raise industry standards and promote a stronger safety culture at construction sites.

Nanta said close collaboration between the government and industry stakeholders remains essential in ensuring safer work environments while supporting the sustainable growth of Malaysia’s construction sector.
