Kuala Lumpur, 6 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has urged the public to refrain from spreading false information or speculation regarding a school incident that is currently under investigation by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
In a statement, Fadhlina said she had visited the scene shortly after the incident and confirmed that the police had taken the necessary security measures, including apprehending the suspect.
She said the ministry’s immediate priority is to ensure those affected receive appropriate medical treatment, while psychosocial support is provided to the school community.
Fadhlina also expressed hope that the school’s principal, teachers and students would remain strong and resilient as they navigate the difficult situation.

She thanked PDRM and all agencies involved in responding to the incident, adding that any further updates would only be shared with the approval of the relevant authorities as investigations continue.
