KUALA LUMPUR, 11 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, granted an audience to the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES), Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin, at Istana Perak, Changkat Persekutuan, today.
The audience served as an opportunity for NRES to brief the Ruler on the ministry’s continued commitment to supporting Malaysia’s sustainable development agenda through effective governance of natural resources and environmental sustainability.
According to the ministry, the meeting reflected the close collaboration between the Royal Institution and the Government in advancing efforts to conserve natural resources, protect the environment and strengthen the nation’s sustainability agenda.

The engagement concluded with a photography session, the signing of the visitors’ book and the presentation of a commemorative souvenir.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam (NRES), the ministry expressed hope that Sultan Nazrin’s guidance and support would continue to inspire efforts to strengthen governance, promote sustainable development and safeguard Malaysia’s natural heritage for future generations. – The Capital Post.
