KUALA LUMPUR, 14 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi officiated the pH JKR Day 2026 programme at Dewan Tan Sri Mahfoz Khalid, Public Works Department (JKR) Malaysia Headquarters.
Held under the theme “Strengthening Standards, Empowering Sustainability”, the programme continues the JKR Greenday initiative aimed at promoting a culture of sustainable development in the construction sector while supporting the nation’s green building agenda. It also forms part of the Hari Profesion Teknikal Negara 2026 (HPTN 2026) celebrations.
The event witnessed the launch of three strategic JKR initiatives – the JKR Sustainable Development Policy, the JKR/SIRIM 2:2025 pH JKR Building Standard, and the e-pH JKR System – to strengthen sustainable development governance, standardise green building ratings and enhance service delivery through digitalisation.

The programme also recognised outstanding achievements within JKR through the presentation of Sustainability Awards to projects that achieved a four-star pH JKR Green Rating and above for 2025, as well as the appointment of JKR Sustainability Champions to promote sustainable development practices across the organisation.
