KUCHING, Sarawak, 14 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) Secretary-General Datuk Wira Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin attended the 21st Malaysian Forestry Conference (MFC) 2026 at the Pullman Hotel, Kuching.
The conference brought together policymakers, researchers, academics and industry players to discuss strategic issues related to sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation and the development of Malaysia’s forestry sector.
The event was officiated by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Abang Openg, who underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration between the Federal Government, state governments, research institutions and industry in leveraging innovation, technology and research to ensure sustainable and resilient forest management.
