Immigration Department Marks 104th Anniversary with Strategic Vision

PUTRAJAYA, July 21, 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Immigration Department of Malaysia celebrated its 104th Immigration Day, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening service delivery, embracing technology and safeguarding the nation’s security and sovereignty.

Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail expressed his appreciation to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for officiating the celebration, describing his presence as a source of encouragement for the department’s personnel.

Held under the theme “Shaping the New Face of Immigration”, this year’s celebration reflects the department’s commitment to enhancing public service delivery while advancing technological innovation and maintaining border security.

The event also featured the launch of the Immigration Department Strategic Plan 2026–2030, which will serve as a key roadmap in driving the department’s transformation agenda to meet future challenges.
