KUALA LUMPUR, 1 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Generali Malaysia has completed the nationwide consolidation of its branch network, including key locations in Sabah and Sarawak, marking a significant milestone in the company’s transformation strategy to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience and long-term regional growth.

The branch integration exercise, which began in the fourth quarter of 2023, has strengthened the insurer’s presence in East Malaysia while supporting its commitment to delivering more accessible and customer-focused insurance services.

Following the completion of the integration process last year, Generali Malaysia recorded an 8.99 per cent increase in Gross Written Premium (GWP) across Sabah and Sarawak, reflecting growing demand for insurance protection and stronger customer engagement in the region.

The company attributed the positive performance to encouraging regional economic growth driven by the expansion of development corridors, the rapid growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and increased commercial activities.

As part of its expansion strategy, Generali Malaysia has upgraded six major branches in Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Miri, Sibu, Sandakan and Tawau. The modernised branches feature improved customer spaces, enhanced accessibility and upgraded service touchpoints to better support businesses, protect the regional workforce and strengthen community resilience.

These upgraded branches allow us to deliver faster, more accessible and more personalised insurance solutions to meet the evolving needs of local communities,” he said.

In line with its modernisation efforts, Generali Malaysia also announced the appointment of Clement Yong as the new Branch Manager for Kuching.
