PUTRAJAYA, 31 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The 2026 National Day Prime Minister’s Address served as an important platform to outline the Government’s direction and initiatives aimed at benefiting the people and securing the nation’s future.
The address, officiated by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, emphasised that wellbeing should not be measured solely by visible progress but should also be felt by all Malaysians regardless of background, race, religion or region.
Several initiatives were announced, including matters involving BUDI MADANI eligibility, infrastructure allocations for education across all types of schools, free subscriptions to AI applications, efforts to accelerate treatment and reduce waiting times at government clinics and hospitals, raising the e-Invoice exemption threshold, as well as increasing loan funds for entrepreneurs and small traders.
Anchored in the values of justice, humanity and welfare, the Government’s aspiration to build a developed, inclusive and harmonious nation remains central to ensuring that national prosperity is enjoyed fairly and comprehensively by all Malaysians.

The event also brought together 3,000 guests comprising Cabinet Ministers, senior Government leadership, civil servants, religious figures and members of the national unity machinery.
The occasion further emphasised the importance of strengthening understanding amid diversity and building national strength through unity towards a more prosperous and harmonious Malaysia.
