SIK, 3 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (KPK) has launched the Rubber Services Counter for the People (GeRaK) 2026 in Sik, Kedah, aimed at making government services, assistance and incentives more accessible to smallholder rubber growers.
Launched by Plantation and Commodities Minister YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad today, the initiative is expected to benefit about 5,000 smallholders in Sik through a one-stop centre offering information, advisory services, assistance and government incentives.
Sik was selected as the pilot location due to its significant rubber smallholder population, with 8,761 holders of the Rubber Transaction Authority Permit (PAT-G) cultivating more than 10,800 hectares of rubber smallholdings.

The launch also saw the introduction of two new Malaysian Rubber Board (LGM) Mobile Counter Vans to support the GeRaK initiative and expand access to services for communities in the area.
Through GeRaK, KPK aims to ensure smallholders not only receive information but are also able to complete administrative matters, access available assistance and strengthen their access to technology and opportunities to improve productivity and income.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Perladangan dan Komoditi – KPK, GeRaK 2026 is part of efforts to bring government services closer to rubber smallholders and improve their access to support and development opportunities. – The Capital Post
