ISKANDAR PUTERI, 3 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA) is promoting the National Orang Asli Sports Carnival (KSOA) 2026 as a platform to strengthen sports development and participation among the Orang Asli community.
JAKOA Deputy Director-General (Development) YBrs. Tuan Ir. Ts. Mahat a/l Mat Dong spoke about the carnival during an interview on JohorFM today, ahead of the event scheduled from 4 to 6 September at EduCity Sport Complex, Iskandar Puteri, Johor Darul Ta’zim.
The national-level carnival is expected to bring together more than 400 Orang Asli athletes who will compete across the sporting programme.

The public is also invited to attend KSOA 2026, with the event featuring products by Orang Asli entrepreneurs, including food products and handicrafts.
The carnival provides an opportunity to showcase sporting talent among Orang Asli athletes while supporting community participation and entrepreneurship through the accompanying sales activities.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli (JAKOA), the interview highlighted KSOA 2026 and encouraged the public to attend the national-level carnival from 4 to 6 September. – The Capital Post
