PUTRAJAYA, 16 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry (NRES) and PEMUDAH are strengthening cooperation to improve Malaysia’s competitiveness through better governance, public service delivery and stakeholder coordination.
The discussions followed a courtesy visit by PEMUDAH to NRES on Tuesday (15 September), focusing on strategic measures involving natural resource management, environmental sustainability and public administration.
NRES Secretary-General YBhg. Datuk Wira Anis Rizana binti Mohd Zainudin joined the discussions alongside TWGBL/PAM Co-Chair (Private Sector) Datuk Ar Ezumi Harzani Ismail.
Also participating were National Competitiveness Section Director Encik Mohamed Alamin bin Rehan, National Competitiveness Section Senior Manager Encik Mohammad Khairul Hakimin bin Zainoor and TWGBL Secretariat Manager Mohd Hosni bin Mamat.
The discussions focused on strengthening coordination between the ministry and stakeholders while identifying areas for improvement in service delivery efficiency.

The initiative also seeks to foster a more responsive and competitive administrative ecosystem as part of broader efforts to support Malaysia’s national competitiveness agenda.
Also present were NRES Deputy Secretary-General (Natural Resources) YBhg. Dato’ Khalid bin Mohamed and senior representatives from the Department of Environment, Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia (JUPEM), Department of Director General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG), as well as relevant NRES divisions.
