MINDEF Wins Four Gold Medals at Indonesia Inventors Day 2026

JAKARTA, 7 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) secured four gold medals, two silver medals and three Special Awards at Indonesia Inventors Day (IID) 2026, with all six innovation products entered in the competition receiving recognition.

The Malaysian Army won two gold medals through the 3T-PRO and Multi Varian Fording Guidance System (MVFGS) innovations.

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) also secured two gold medals through the Air Intake Screen Modification Next Generation (AIS MOD NX) and Fuel System Icing Inhibitor Kit Version 3 (FSII Kit V3).

The RMAF received two silver medals for Mobile Prop Safe 360 (MPS 360) and Cockpit Operation for Pilot Training with Extended Reality (COPTER).

MINDEF also received three Special Awards, including special recognition from Taiwan and Thailand.

The MINDEF delegation was led by Principal Assistant Secretary for Innovation at the Strategic Management Branch, Policy and Strategic Planning Division, Syaidatul Azla binti Abdul Malek.

A total of nine MINDEF innovators participated with six innovation products in the competition, which attracted 550 entries from 20 countries.

MINDEF said the achievement demonstrates the ability of defence personnel to develop competitive innovations and technologies while strengthening the potential for Malaysian defence innovations to gain wider international recognition.
