ALOR SETAR: A Year Three pupil has claimed he was hit by his teacher with a ruler at a school in Kuala Kedah.
Kota Setar District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Shukri Mat Akhir said they received a report from the pupil’s mother in her thirties, at 4.36pm yesterday.
He said the nine-year-old boy sustained injuries to his arm, left finger, and face from the alleged incident.
“Based on the mother’s report, she saw injuries on her son’s face and body when picking him up from school.
“The victim informed her that a teacher had hit him using a ruler for not completing his homework,” he said in a statement.
Ahmad Shukri said investigations are ongoing according to Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.-NST
