She said the research has been conducted by the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) since last December, following the tabling of a private member’s bill by Members of Parliament in the Dewan Rakyat.
“There is no cause for concern as the study is being carried out by IIUM, a reputable institution. This research is not being conducted by DAP members, but by IIUM, and I have full confidence in the quality of their work,” she told a press conference after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Territories Department and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission here today.
Hannah added that once the study is completed, the findings will be reviewed by the Cabinet before a decision is made on whether the proposal is suitable for implementation.
