GEORGE TOWN: A 69-year-old man, Thong Yew Kwang, who was driving from Bayan Lepas towards George Town, died after his car rammed into a trailer in front of him.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Soffian Santong said the incident happened at the Lim Chong Eu Expressway at around 6.30am on Friday (Dec 13).
“The driver banged into a trailer carrying fruits in front of him and died on the spot due to severe injuries on his face.

“A postmortem will be carried out to identify the cause of death.
“The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, ” he said in a statement. -The Star
