BATU GAJAH: A 15-year-old boy pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here to raping his 15-year-old schoolmate.
The teenager entered the plea after the charge under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code was read out to him before Magistrate Azlin Zeti Zainal Abidin on Wednesday (Feb 11).
He is accused of committing the offence against the girl in a house in Bota, Perak Tengah, around noon on Dec 12 last year.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years’ imprisonment and caning if convicted.
The court granted bail of RM1,400 and scheduled sentencing for March 11, pending a social welfare report.
