JOHOR BAHRU, 4 March 2026 (The Capital Post)— A technician has pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here to multiple child sex offences involving a minor.
The 39-year-old admitted to charges under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, relating to offences committed between April and June last year.
According to the prosecution, the accused exploited a position of trust to commit the acts against the child. The court was told that the offences came to light following a police report lodged after the victim disclosed the incidents.

The accused entered his guilty plea during proceedings and the court fixed a later date for sentencing to allow for the preparation of relevant reports, including mitigation submissions.
