KUALA LUMPUR 24 March 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow heatwave alert for 23 localities across Malaysia, including Jerantut and Raub, as temperatures continue to rise.
Kedah is reported as the hardest-hit state, with residents advised to take precautions against extreme heat, including staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged outdoor activities.
Authorities also warned of the potential for heat-related health issues, especially among children, the elderly, and individuals with medical conditions. Emergency services have been put on alert to respond to any incidents.
