Brunei Maritime Authority Advances Digital Transformation, Strengthens Industry Efficiency

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN 7 April 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) has marked significant progress with the rollout of its Digital Transformation 2.0 initiative alongside the achievement of a recognised Quality Management System certification.

The latest phase builds on the Brunei Maritime Single Window system introduced in March 2025, further enhancing digital integration and streamlining processes within the country’s maritime sector.

Former MPABD Chief Executive Captain Zil Husam Haji Abdul Rahman said continuous efforts over the past year have laid a strong foundation for a more efficient and cohesive organisation in managing maritime operations.

He added that the transformation aligns with Brunei Vision 2035, which aims to strengthen the nation’s economic competitiveness through modernisation and innovation across key sectors.
