ULAANBAATAR 7 April 2026 (The Capital Post) – Taiwan’s Olympic boxing champion Lin Yu-ting secured a bronze medal in the women’s 60kg division at the 2026 Asian Boxing Elite Championships in Mongolia, marking a competitive return to the international stage.
Competing in her first major tournament since winning gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Lin advanced to the semifinals but was defeated by North Korea’s Won Un Gyong, ending her bid for a higher podium finish.
The 30-year-old’s participation followed a clearance from World Boxing after an appeal by Taiwan’s boxing federation, allowing her to compete under the female category amid previous eligibility questions.

Looking ahead, Lin is expected to set her sights on the upcoming Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, where she aims to build on her performance and further her medal prospects. -The Capital Post
