SELANGOR, 12 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Hajah Rubiah binti Haji Wang conducted a working visit to Selangor to inspect the progress of rural development projects and community empowerment initiatives in the state.
The information was shared via the official Facebook page of Kementerian Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah.
The visit was aimed at monitoring project implementation on the ground and ensuring that development initiatives under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) continue to bring direct benefits to local communities.
Among the locations visited was the Sungai Air Tawar, Sabak Bernam to Hutan Melintang, Perak road and bridge construction project, which is expected to become a new cross-border infrastructure facility.
The project is set to improve connectivity between areas and support local socio-economic growth. It is scheduled for completion in 2027.

Rubiah also inspected the Integrated Village Economic Development Project (PROSPECT) in Sabak Bernam, which involves rock melon fertigation activities, as well as the development of the Astaka and Bagan Nakhoda Omar Beach Landmark.
The working visit also included the KEMAS Activity Centre at Jalan Ladang Torkinton, the SMART Surau Programme at MRSM Ulul Albab Sungai Besar and the dairy cow project in Sungai Tengi Selatan, Hulu Selangor.
KKDW said the visit reflects its continued commitment to ensuring that every initiative and development project implemented will benefit the people, while supporting sustainable and high-impact rural development.
The ministry also reaffirmed its commitment to empowering the welfare of rural communities. – The Capital Post
