KUALA LUMPUR, 12 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — The MTEN Joint PMAC Paper Meeting held on May 11 discussed several key matters related to Malaysia’s economic resilience, including the development status of the Global Supply Crisis Monitoring Dashboard.
The information was shared via the official Facebook page of Kementerian Ekonomi.
The dashboard is being developed as a real-time monitoring system using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to track key indicators involving the economy, energy, commodities, inflation, trade flows and commodity prices.
The meeting also discussed a proposal by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) to reduce rental rates for business premises under local authority supervision.
The proposal is aimed at helping small businesses affected by rising operating costs during the crisis.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) presented an analysis on the impact of the conflict on the continuity of Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) operations, including fuel requirements, spare parts and defence logistics supplies.
World Bank representatives also shared views on fiscal and trade measures that Malaysia could consider to strengthen economic resilience, alongside the country’s fiscal management efforts.
The engagement session was held to gather initial information and practical intervention proposals before they are presented at the National Economic Action Council (MTEN) meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. – The Capital Post
