TLDM officers promoted in recognition of leadership and service

KUALA LUMPUR, 12 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Ministry of Defence Secretary-General Datuk Lokman Hakim bin Ali and Chief of Navy Admiral Tan Sri (Dr.) Zulhelmy bin Ithnain officiated the rank-presentation ceremony for Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) and Royal Malaysian Navy Volunteer Reserve (PSSTLDM) officers at KD Sri Gombak here today.

The ceremony also saw the promotion of Rear Admiral Datuk Yusne bin Mokhtar, MiDAS Chief Executive, to the rank of Vice Admiral in recognition of his leadership, experience and contributions to strengthening the country’s defence and security agenda.

The promotion reflects confidence in the TLDM leadership’s ability to steer the organisation strategically, strengthen operational readiness and develop future capabilities in response to an increasingly complex maritime security landscape.

The ministry also extended its congratulations and best wishes to all officers promoted as they undertake their new responsibilities.
