MOHE Secretary-General Visits JPPKK to Strengthen National TVET Agenda

PUTRAJAYA, 13 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) is continuing efforts to strengthen the national Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) agenda through closer engagement with institutions under the ministry.

According to information shared on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, MOHE secretary-general Datuk Ts Dr Haji Aminuddin Hassim conducted a working visit to the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (JPPKK) today.

The visit served as an introductory session on the department’s functions, roles and future direction in advancing TVET institutions under the ministry.

Upon arrival, Aminuddin was welcomed by Polytechnic and Community College Education director-general Dr Shamsuri Abdullah together with JPPKK’s top management team.

During the session, the secretary-general was briefed on the department’s latest initiatives and ongoing efforts in driving excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

He stressed the importance of ensuring that programmes offered at Polytechnic and Community College (POLYCC) institutions remain dynamic, sustainable and aligned with current industry demands as well as the nation’s education agenda.

The visit also reflected MOHE’s commitment to ensuring policy coordination at the ministry level is effectively implemented across departments and educational institutions.

Also present during the session were JPPKK division directors as well as chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of the POLYCC zones. – The Capital Post
