PUTRAJAYA, 12 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) is strengthening the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) industry ecosystem through the organisation of the MM2H Refresher Programme Series 1/2026 involving 200 representatives from MM2H operating companies.

According to information shared on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia, the programme was organised by the One Stop Centre Malaysia My Second Home (OSC MM2H) MOTAC at Dewan Sanggar Pujangga, MOTAC.

Deputy secretary-general (Tourism) Chua Choon Hwa, in his speech, emphasised that MM2H operating companies are not merely agents but strategic partners of MOTAC and “small ambassadors” representing Malaysia on the global stage.

He also urged companies to prioritise the quality of applications over quantity in ensuring the credibility and sustainability of the programme.

Among the key focus areas highlighted during the programme were stricter due diligence and participant screening processes, maintaining professionalism in logistics and cultural assimilation services, avoiding misleading advertisements and preventing the use of unlicensed agents not recognised by MOTAC.

As of April 30, 2026, the MM2H programme has recorded investments amounting to RM5.9 billion, particularly in the banking and property sectors.

MOTAC said the achievement reflects the importance of strong cooperation between the ministry and its strategic partners in driving economic growth through the entry of quality tourists and investors into the country. – The Capital Post
