PETALING JAYA, 15 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) organised the 2026 Accreditation Course for the Tourist Accommodation Premises Inspection Panel Team under the Green Hotel category from 13 to 15 May in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The inaugural programme reflects MOTAC’s continued commitment to supporting the sustainable tourism agenda while strengthening the implementation of Green Hotel ratings in Malaysia in line with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices and the long-term sustainability of the tourism industry.
At the same time, MOTAC said it will continue enhancing collaboration with industry players, including hotel associations such as the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners (MAHO) and Malaysia Budget & Business Hotel Association (MyBHA).
The ministry hopes the initiative will encourage more hotel operators to obtain accreditation under MOTAC’s rating system, particularly within the Green Hotel category.
