MAKKAH, 29 June 2026 (The Capital Post) — Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has expressed appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its extensive preparations and continued commitment in ensuring a smooth and safe Hajj season for millions of pilgrims from around the world.
In a statement shared during his pilgrimage, Saifuddin said he attended a meeting chaired by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, alongside leaders and delegations from countries participating in this year’s Hajj.
According to him, the Crown Prince outlined the Kingdom’s efforts and preparations for the 2026 Hajj season, which involves approximately 1.7 million pilgrims from 165 countries worldwide.
Saifuddin noted that managing an event of such scale requires meticulous planning covering logistics, infrastructure, safety, healthcare and the welfare of pilgrims.

He also praised the efficiency and dedication of Saudi authorities in providing facilities and services to ensure pilgrims can perform their religious obligations in a safe, orderly and peaceful environment.
The minister added that the Kingdom’s efforts continue to strengthen the position of the Holy Land as a destination that unites Muslims from across the globe in the spirit of brotherhood, security and unity.
