PDRM-KPDN Record Highest Enforcement Cases Nationwide

KUALA LUMPUR, June 2, 2026 (The Capital Post) – According to information shared on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), the ministry continues to intensify strategic enforcement operations through inter-agency collaboration to combat subsidy leakages, smuggling activities and the misuse of controlled goods that could threaten the nation’s economic security and supply stability.

Based on cumulative enforcement data recorded between April 12 and May 31, 2026, a total of 319 enforcement cases were reported involving various agencies under KDN, resulting in 911 arrests nationwide.

The operations also recorded a total seizure value of RM47.99 million, with the highest weekly seizure value amounting to RM1.06 million between May 25 and May 31, 2026.

Among the agencies involved, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) recorded the highest number of enforcement cases, with 243 cases involving subsidy leakages and controlled goods violations.

The offences included diesel and petrol subsidy leakages, abuse of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplies, and the misappropriation of subsidised cooking oil, with enforcement actions taken against individuals and parties found to be involved.

In terms of arrests, PDRM’s Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ D3) recorded 512 arrests, followed by PDRM-KPDN with 249 arrests, the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) with 92 arrests and the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) with 58 arrests.

The integrated operations included vehicle inspections, premises monitoring, border control activities, maritime patrols and intelligence-led enforcement actions aimed at curbing smuggling and subsidy-related offences.

Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said KDN will continue strengthening intelligence-based and integrated enforcement efforts to ensure subsidy leakages are effectively addressed, national supplies remain secure and the welfare of the people is protected.

The ministry also reaffirmed its commitment to expanding Smart Enforcement initiatives, enhancing cooperation among enforcement agencies and taking firm action against any party involved in activities that undermine the interests of the rakyat and the nation. – The Capital Post
