PUTRAJAYA, June 8, 2026 (The Capital Post) – According to information shared on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya (MOTAC), ministry personnel participated in Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s monthly assembly held in conjunction with the Ministry of Communications’ Monthly Gathering.
The session was attended virtually from Dewan Sanggar Pujangga and was joined by MOTAC’s top leadership, including Secretary-General Dato’ Shaharuddin Abu Sohot, Deputy Secretary-General (Management) Datuk Surrendren Sathasivam, and Deputy Secretary-General (Tourism) Chua Choon Hwa.
During the assembly, the Prime Minister highlighted several key priorities, including the importance of national unity and democracy, stressing the need to respect the people’s mandate and uphold the rights of all communities in building an inclusive government.
He also emphasised sincerity in public service and continuous self-improvement, encouraging civil servants to remain committed to gradual and meaningful reforms while acknowledging areas that require enhancement.
The Prime Minister further called for stronger enforcement against illegal activities, including visa abuse, unlicensed business operations and the influx of imported goods through coordinated action among relevant agencies.

In addition, he underscored the importance of monitoring the digital economy by strengthening oversight of e-commerce activities and financial flows through inter-agency collaboration.
Anwar also stressed the need to leverage digital technology to improve monitoring capabilities and enhance public engagement efforts to ensure accurate and timely information reaches the people.
The assembly reflected the government’s continued commitment to fostering national unity, strengthening governance and embracing digital transformation in support of Malaysia’s long-term development goals.– The Capital Post
