PUTRAJAYA, 8 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) has reaffirmed the need for a comprehensive and integrated approach to address the growing threats of drugs, cybercrime and corruption, following its June 2026 Monthly Assembly held in Putrajaya.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), the assembly was jointly organised by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and officiated by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
In his mandate, Saifuddin stressed that drug-related crimes, cyber threats and corruption remain among the country’s most pressing challenges, requiring enhanced enforcement capabilities and close cooperation between authorities and the public.
He emphasised that safeguarding national security goes beyond protecting the country’s borders and entry points, noting that integrity in carrying out daily responsibilities is equally important in preserving Malaysia’s sovereignty and security.
The minister said efforts to reject corruption, combat drug syndicates, curb cybercrime and raise public awareness must continue as part of a broader strategy to strengthen national resilience against emerging security threats.
He also urged KDN personnel to uphold the values of trust, accountability and togetherness in fulfilling their duties, while ensuring the welfare of the people and the safety of the nation remain a top priority.
The assembly featured a series of programmes and presentations focusing on integrity, drug abuse prevention and cybercrime awareness, reflecting KDN’s ongoing commitment to strengthening ethical work practices and enhancing preparedness among ministry personnel in facing current security challenges.
KDN also recorded its appreciation to PDRM for successfully organising the event and delivering programmes that provided valuable knowledge and awareness to ministry staff.
The ministry said such initiatives remain important in reinforcing a culture of integrity and ensuring government personnel remain vigilant in addressing increasingly complex security challenges. – The Capital Post
