KUALA LUMPUR, 11 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has recognised the contributions of officers and personnel involved in the successful execution of Op Morava, a major anti-drug operation led by the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department at Bukit Aman.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police DIG Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay presented certificates of appreciation during the Op Morava Appreciation Ceremony held at the Theatrette Hall, Menara 1, Bukit Aman.
According to a Facebook post by Polis Diraja Malaysia, the ceremony was organised to acknowledge the dedication, professionalism and commitment demonstrated by officers and personnel whose efforts contributed significantly to the success of the operation.
A total of 44 officers and personnel were selected to receive certificates of appreciation, with 24 recipients receiving their awards directly from Ayob Khan during the ceremony.
The success of Op Morava was also attributed to strategic cooperation between PDRM’s Special Branch, the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM), highlighting the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in combating drug-related crimes.

The operation underscored the importance of intelligence-sharing, coordinated enforcement actions and integrated security efforts in addressing increasingly sophisticated criminal activities.
Also present at the event were Secretary of the Royal Malaysia Police DCP Dato’ Mohamad Noor Yusof Ali and ESSCOM Chief Intelligence Staff SAC Shariman Ashari from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The recognition reflects PDRM’s continued commitment to rewarding excellence in service while strengthening collaborative efforts to safeguard national security and combat organised crime. – The Capital Post
