MELAKA, 22 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Hebatkan Perniagaan Malaysia (HPM) Carnival in Melaka concluded successfully after attracting more than 50,000 visitors over three days from 19 to 21 June 2026.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), the event aimed to empower local entrepreneurs through business matching sessions, knowledge-sharing programmes, exhibitions, product sales and advisory services from various government agencies.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Senior Exco for Housing, Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change and Disaster Management of Melaka, Datuk Rais Yasin, representing Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
During the event, TEKUN Nasional launched a new integrated digital portal to provide entrepreneurs with streamlined access to financing applications, status checks, training programmes and agency information nationwide.
Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong said the initiative supports the ABCD KUSKOP strategy, particularly efforts to simplify bureaucracy and improve access to government services for entrepreneurs.

The event also featured mock cheque presentations to 16 entrepreneurs involving more than RM4 million in financing.
As of 31 May 2026, KUSKOP has approved RM92 million in financing for over 4,300 entrepreneurs in Melaka, while nationally RM5 billion has been approved benefiting more than 180,000 enterprises.
The ministry said it remains committed to strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem through the PowerUp10K initiative to build a more inclusive and competitive SME sector. – The Capital Post
